Tea stories

Here are some tea places that I hold dear memories of, that have shaped me in some way.

Probably my first experience with boba. My go-to was the green apple ice blended which was only $1.80. Back then I disliked tapioca and chose konjac jelly instead.

I think this might have been when I started liking milk teas. They sold $1.50 milk teas, 30 cents more for a flavor. My go-to was the honeydew milk tea. My neighbors and I would go after school and hang out, study and get drinks together.

My family would have breakfast together here often, always with earl grey or english breakfast tea. I often studied here with friends too. My personal favorites were the earl grey tea latte and the tropical passion tea latte.

The nearest good boba shop from campus, there were seats and the campus wifi was still reachable, making it great for studying. I always got the matcha latte with boba, no ice, 50% sugar.

Back when we lived in New York, Katie and I loved walking around Manhattan, even in the deep winter. We loved hanging out around East Village and this shop with its cushioned seats and welcoming music was such a comfort. I still remember the heavenly feeling of sipping on the warm taro tofu pudding drink. 50% sugar, warm.

This shop was close to where we lived and had a huge seating area with some good board games. I have great fond memories of playing Splendor or Connect-4 here. They did an amazing purple yam milk tea with boba that was perfect. No ice, fixed at 30% sugar.
